“The Lord enjoined his ancient people to exercise the greatest care that young people, even from infancy, be properly instructed…it is well known from the writings of the Evangelists and apostles that God has…concern for the youth of his…people when he openly testifies and says, “Let the children come to me; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Titusville Presbyterians believe that children are not just the future—they are part of the family of faith now. Children learn Christian practices and begin to understand the love of God in Jesus Christ when they are part of the worshiping community—not segregated from it. Children are always welcome in worship, where parents are invited to help their children participate in all that happens. We welcome the sounds of children in worship, and, as a church full of parents and grandparents, understand short attention spans and occasional noise. The church is equipped with a changing table, and, should a little one need to leave worship, parents are always welcome to take children downstairs to the Heritage Room or to the Nursery in the Bannerman Building, as needed.
